Bio24 year old girlie, graduate illustrator trying to find my place in the world.
I have a very odd style in drawing, writing and speaking, so please do not be offended. I tend to write in English, and I would be very happy to know people who are interested in same things I am (especially Latin and Italian since I really want to learn to read those languages and speak italian lol) and just because I like to have random conversations with people about stuff serious-and-less-so. I am a native of Finland and at the moment also living there due to some oddness that happened in my life, but I am a passionate traveler as well, my next destination would be Italy or Australia (I have a HUGE thing for Australian accent... boys beware...) and I'd love to explore both of these countries.
I am trying to become a writer/illustrator in my life. I've realised that as much as I enjoy normal 9-5 working, it's just not something I want to do for the rest of my life, and my brains keep confusing me with too many ideas to get them all together, I have decided to try to make a career out of artistic stuff. That doesn't say I'm good at either of these, but I am trying to be myself, and honest about what I am doing. I do mostly gothic-, dark-, fantastic-, steampunk-, faery- or children's illustration- style stuff, and hopefully in the future I'll be going towards comics as well. If you don't like my style, you don't have to, but I appreciate encouraging comments XP
I am also a bit freakishly into old maps. They just fascinate me, I can go on staring at them for ages. That and old sailing ships, discoveries, explorations etc... and all the films and books involving any of these. And well pretty much anything to do with signs, symbols and semiotics really fascinate me. I've realised that there are more things I want to learn than I have the time or capacity to learn, but that doesn't stop me from trying...
Oh, and just in case: all images that are posted by me, some of my profile images and the stuff in my gallery are ©me unless otherwise stated. Not that anyone really wants to steal my pics, but weirder things have happened.
